ROI Awarded Contract to Bring Legacy Support Services to Gwinnett Medical Center

ROI and Gwinnett Medical Center enter a partnership to secure quality support and reliability of legacy systems during an EMR transition.

ROI Healthcare Solutions, LLC has been awarded a contract by one of Atlanta’s highly reputable hospitals, Gwinnett Medical Center, to provide 24 / 7 / 365 support of their legacy clinical, ambulatory, and ancillary systems during their migration to a new, integrated EMR solution.

The 18-month professional services contract is designed for ROI to provide a range of IT services led by Project Managers and application-specific Team Leads, within Gwinnett’s facility. Scope of services include: program management, application management, on-call support, break/fix services, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, testing, reporting, and small service request fulfillment.

ROI has been providing advisory, implementation, support, and staffing services in healthcare for 18 years with strong leadership, leading edge methodologies, and deep vendor and business expertise in clinical, financial, technology operations. Throughout engagement planning and service delivery, ROI has demonstrated a strong commitment to relationship cultivation, flexibility, on-time and on-budget delivery, and quality to give Gwinnett the confidence in ROI to provide reliable and efficient support of legacy systems, while the business focuses on modernizing their EMR technology.
While staffing and comprehensive legacy support were both options for Gwinnett during supplier evaluations, key stakeholders have proven to value a high level of service and technological stability over a pure staffing model. ROI’s proposed methodology encompasses the full cycle of: requirements definitions, staffing, repeatable onboarding processes, activation of services, testing, success measurement, decommissioning, and knowledge transfer. ROI’s leadership and supporting staff possess deep vendor and industry experience, which creates a seamless and tightly integrated team that serves as an extension of the Gwinnett organization.

In addition to the Epic migration project, the healthcare system also embarked on new implementations for HR, supply chain and document management. Baptist’s executive leadership soon realized the business impact of their application team transitioning to Epic support, leaving the support of their legacy applications vulnerable.
